This day in history Sixty-five years ago today, on 26 July 1941, the US Army Forces Far East was established in the Philippines, the Army of the Philippines was ordered to be incorporated into the US Army, and General Douglas MacArthur was ordered to return to active duty to command US forces in the Philippines.
